Check Out This Poll on KindleBoards.com

16 Jan

Okay, you just never know what you’re going to find on KindleBoards.com. As I mentioned earlier, the sub-board for the In Her Name Book Klub is now open, and our crafty moderator, Betsy The Quilter, set up a poll that cracked me up – come check it out!

In Her Name Book Klub Thread Now Open on KindleBoards.com

16 Jan

Holy cow – there are only FIFTEEN days left as I write this until the In Her Name KindleBoards.com Book Klub starts, and one of the moderators has set up the discussion sub-forum

I have no idea how much of a turnout we’ll have, but I’m hoping for a decent-sized group. Regardless of size (size doesn’t matter! LOL!), it’ll be a lot of fun, and I’m really looking forward to hearing what folks think about the book as they read through and discuss it.

As an added bit of fun, I decided that we’ll have a drawing at the end of the club for an In Her Name T-shirt from Zazzle.com (I still have to finalize the designs).

So, if you haven’t already, check out In Her Name! Remember, the sample for your Kindle or Mobipocket eBook is free, and I’ve got a free PDF sample for folks who’d like to read along in print format!

In Her Name – KindleBoards February Book Club Selection

11 Jan

In Her Name - A futuristic fantasy novel by Michael R. HicksIf you didn’t know already, In Her Name was selected as the February selection for the KindleBoards Book Club (or Book Klub, as it’s called there)!

KindleBoards was originally set up for Amazon Kindle owners (and those interested in becoming owners), but even if you don’t have a Kindle it’s a great place to hang out: there are over 1,500 members at the time of this writing, lots of cool and interesting people, and lots of interesting conversations going on about just about everything under the sun (with, not surprisingly, a tremendous focus on books and reading)!

As for the Book Klubs, anyone and everyone is invited to join in: the emphasis is on fun, not structure. They’re very informal and easy-going. So if you’ve got a busy schedule, no worries: drop by when you can!

So, if you’ve already bought In Her Name, I hope to see you there! And if you haven’t bought the book yet, take a little while to check it out: even if you normally don’t read fantasy or science fiction, there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy it! There are free samples for the Kindle and Mobipocket, plus the print version’s Search Inside the Book feature on Amazon. Once I get the site put back together, I’ll also have the first four chapters available as a free PDF download.

Remember: February 1st on KindleBoards – hope to see you there!
